Club Atlético de Madrid's latest recruit, 19-year-old striker Eduardo Antonio 'Toto' Salvio, said he was "eager to win a title here" after completing his move to the UEFA Europa League contenders from CA Lanús for a reported €8m.
'Powerful player'
The Argentinian international has agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal at the Vicente Calderón, becoming Atlético's second acquisition of the January transfer window following Tiago's loan move from Juventus. Speaking at his presentation, Salvio – who scored 11 times in 41 appearances for Lanús – said: "I'd describe myself as a powerful player and I am just as comfortable playing up front as on the wings. I love to get myself into the area and score goals. This is a team that I've always liked and I've been keen to play here; I want to win at this club." Quique Sánchez Flores's charges take on Galatasaray AŞ in the round of 32 on 18 and 23 February.
