Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen could miss the UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie against AFC Ajax next month after fracturing his left fibula during Sunday's 3-0 home defeat by AC Milan.
Absentees
The injury is another blow for Bianconeri coach Ciro Ferrara, who is already without Gianluigi Buffon, Mauro Camoranesi, Sebastian Giovinco and David Trezeguet due to injury and last week loaned Tiago to Club Atlético de Madrid. The 29-year-old Poulsen, who was replaced after 64 minutes against Milan, has played in 16 of Juventus' 19 Serie A matches this term and made a further five appearances in the UEFA Champions League.
First leg
The Danish international is expected to resume running in 30 days but will be pressed for time to regain full fitness before the first leg of the Ajax tie in Amsterdam on 18 February. The loss to Milan was La Vecchia Signora's sixth in eight games in all competitions, leaving them third in the Serie A standings, 12 points behind leaders FC Internazionale Milano.
