SK Rapid Wien's UEFA Europa League ambitions have been dealt a significant blow after they learned that midfielder Branko Bošković is likely to miss the rest of the group stage with a shoulder injury.

Surgery possible
The Montenegrin international, 29, suffered the knock to his right shoulder in Sunday's 4-1 derby victory over FK Austria Wien and could be out until the new year. That would rule him out of Rapid's remaining UEFA Europa League fixtures away to Hamburger SV on 2 December and, a fortnight later, at home against Celtic FC as Peter Pacult's side seek to improve on third place in Group C. Bošković will undergo tests over the coming days to assess whether or not he requires surgery.
