Slovenian forward Klemen Lavrič has joined Austrian outfit SK Sturm Graz from Japanese side Omiya Ardija as they prepare for their UEFA Europa League Group F opener against FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti.
German success
The 28-year-old made his name with 1. FC Dynamo Dresden and MSV Duisburg in Germany, scoring 37 goals in 100 matches in the 1. and 2. Bundesliga. He scored five times in 21 league games after moving to Japan in summer 2008 and has struck six goals for his country in 24 internationals. Sturm sporting director Oliver Kreuzer said: "Lavrič is another decisive signing, strengthening the squad ahead of the difficult tasks in the future." Panathinaikos FC and Galatasaray AŞ complete the list of Group F contenders.
