Manchester City FC will be without Craig Bellamy for their UEFA Cup Round of 16 tie against Aalborg BK with the Welsh international striker facing at least two weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury.

'Big miss'

The 29-year-old has scored four goals since moving to the City of Manchester Stadium in January, including both in the 2-1 victory against FC København in the Round of 32 second leg. However, Bellamy aggravated a knee problem against his former club West Ham United FC on Sunday and City manager Mark Hughes admitted that the "best-case scenario" is already two to three weeks out. "It's not an old injury. It needed to be allowed to settle down for 48 hours before we can look at the extent of it. It's the patella, he's torn fibres in his knee. Since he came to the club he's carried the fight for us. He's going to be a big miss." Robinho, meanwhile, damaged ligaments in his ankle at Upton Park although Hughes is optimistic the Brazilian will be fit for the visit of AaB on 12 March, with the return in Denmark a week later.
