FC Girondins de Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc may have to turn to his third-choice goalkeeper for Thursday's crucial UEFA Cup Round of 32 second-leg meeting with Galatasaray AŞ after Matthieu Valverde joined Ulrich Ramé on the sidelines.
Broken nose
Ramé suffered a knock in the goalless first instalment in France last week following a collision with Milan Baroš. He was ruled out of Sunday's 1-1 draw at AS Saint-Etienne – a match which Ramé's replacement Valverde finished with a broken nose. He is therefore doubtful to play in Turkey on Thursday, creating a possible vacancy for 20-year-old Kevin Olimpa, who has made just one further appearance since his first-team debut as a substitute for Valverde in November.
