Castillo among recalled Shakhtar trio

FC Shakhtar Donetsk, who are up against Tottenham Hotspur FC in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 next month after finishing third in their UEFA Champions League group, have recalled three players from loan spells, including Mexican international Nery Alberto Castillo.

Unhappy spell
The 24-year-old attacker, bought for €20m from Olympiacos CFP in July 2007, was loaned to Manchester City FC last January but has appeared in just seven Premier League games and none this season. Mircea Lucescu has also recalled Ukraine Under-21 captain Igor Korotetskiy from FC Zorya Luhansk and striker Ruslan Fomin, 22, from fellow UEFA Cup contenders FC Metalist Kharkiv. After facing Spurs, Shakhtar resume their Ukrainian campaign at FC Illychivets Mariupil on 28 February as they attempt to improve on their current fifth place.
