Tomasson has been complaining of knee problems since Feyenoord's 3-1 defeat by FC Groningen on Sunday, while Timmer has yet to recover from a groin injury picked up in a collision with the opposition's Swedish midfielder Petter Andersson in the same game. Timmer's absence means 39-year-old back-up keeper Rob van Dijk is expected to make his European debut against Swedish league leaders Kalmar, who hold a shock 1-0 lead from the first leg of the tie in Rotterdam.
