The Bundesliga club had already taken a leap of faith in recruiting the 25-year-old Turkish forward on a short-term deal on the strength of his 27 goals in 34 league games for Wuppertaler last season. Sağlık has repaid that faith by scoring three times in five appearances for the Wolves – two strikes against 1. FC Heidenheim in the German Cup and one against VfL Bochum 1848. The former BV Borussia Dortmund reserve, who left the Westfalenstadion in 2005 to play for VfB Admira Wacker Mödling and 1. FC Saarbrücken, featured as a substitute in Wolfsburg's 1-0 UEFA Cup first round first-leg victory over FC Rapid Bucureşti last Thursday.
