'Extra striking option'
The 31-year-old Gabon international striker suffered the injury five weeks ago in the first leg of Rangers' last-16 tie against Werder Bremen, but they progressed without him and he is available again for Thursday's crucial meeting with Sporting. The sides are locked at 0-0 after the first leg at Ibrox, and Walter Smith is delighted to have Cousin back. "Daniel has been cleared to resume playing which is a big boost to us," said the manager, who will be without the suspended David Weir at the Estádio José Alvalade.
