Leverkusen lose striker Bulykin

Bayer 04 Leverkusen will be without Russian striker Dmitri Bulykin in their home UEFA Cup Round of 32 second leg against Galatasaray AS on Thursday.

Ligament tear
The 28-year-old tore ligaments in his left ankle 41 minutes into Saturday's 2-2 draw at Karlsruher SC and he is set to be sidelined for several weeks. A summer signing from FC Dinamo Moskva, Bulykin scored twice in the UEFA Cup group stage in a 5-0 win at FC Zürich but was on then bench for last week's 0-0 draw against Galatasaray in Turkey. He has scored once in six Bundesliga appearances so far. Used as a substitute five times in previous league games, the match against Karlsruhe represented his first league start for Michael Skibbe's side.
