Aberdeen FC have boosted their squad by signing defender Stuart Duff from Scottish Premier League rivals Dundee United FC.
Potential replacement
The 25-year-old left-back or left midfielder has agreed a deal until the end of the season and could make his debut away to his old club on Saturday. Duff is viewed by manager Jimmy Calderwood as a replacement for midfielder Chris Clark, who joined English side Plymouth Argyle FC this week in a move worth more than €250,000.
'Big asset'
"Stuart can play anywhere across the defence but I feel his best position is in midfield," said Calderwood. "He has vision, is athletic, good in the air and has two good feet. Just looking at Stuart in his first training session, I can see he can be a really big asset for us." Aberdeen face FC Bayern München in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 with the first leg at Pittodrie on 14 February.
