RSC Anderlecht striker Nicolas Frutos has agreed a new deal with the UEFA Cup contenders, extending his existing contract by two years until 2012.
Early extension
The 26-year-old Argentinian had been under contract until 2010 but the Brussels club have moved to secure his services early. Frutos said: "I am very happy with the extension of my contract. I have always felt very good at this club and it is obviously nice to be able to stay here a little longer." Frutos joined Anderlecht from CA Independiente in October 2005 and has scored 25 goals in 40 Belgian league games to date. He has also scored twice in four UEFA club competition games. Anderlecht play Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC at home on Thursday in their opening UEFA Cup Group G game.
