Sevilla FC midfielder José Luis Martí has agreed a two-year contract extension, binding him to the UEFA Cup finalists until summer 2010.
Vote of confidence
The 32-year-old, who had 12 months remaining on his deal, has impressed sufficiently in his 26 Primera División outings this season to earn the vote of confidence from coach Juande Ramos. Martí joined the Andalusian club in 2003 after three campaigns with CD Tenerife, and has gone on to make 127 league appearances, scoring four goals. Sevilla take on RCD Espanyol in the all-Spanish UEFA Cup final at Hampden Park, Glasgow on 16 May.
