Sevilla have it tough, warns Ramos

Sevilla FC coach Juande Ramos predicted a "very, very tough game" for the holders at Tottenham Hotspur FC next week after a hard-fought first-leg win.

Sevilla FC face a "very, very tough game" at Tottenham Hotspur FC in next week's UEFA Cup quarter-final return according to their coach Juande Ramos. The holders came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 as Frédéric Kanouté's penalty and an Aleksandr Kerzhakov header overturned the advantage Robbie Keane had given the visitors in the second minute. Yet Ramos admitted that Sevilla struggled to create opportunities against a strong Spurs side. His counterpart, Martin Jol, felt Tottenham controlled periods of the game and "have a good chance in the second leg" in north London.

Juande Ramos, Sevilla coach
It will be a very, very tough game. We have to work hard to get through. Tottenham came out flying but we reacted very well to the first goal. At the same time, they knew our game well and they neutralised our attacks down the right wing, meaning we created fewer chances than we normally do. I really enjoyed Tottenham's performance, especially the way they played from the midfield.

Martin Jol, Tottenham manager
I thought we started well and created chances straight away. We could have scored even before we got the goal. We took control but the penalty changed the game. We were very disappointed with the decision because Paul Robinson got two hands to the ball. Sevilla took over but I still feel they didn't create a lot. In the second half we took control again and every time we put them under pressure, we created something. I feel we have a good chance in the second leg
