Rangers FC could be without defender Ugo Ehiogu and midfielder Kevin Thomson for Wednesday's UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC after both players picked up hamstring injuries in the club's 3-1 win over Kilmarnock FC on Sunday.
Duo withdrawn
Former English international Ehiogu, 34, was substituted midway through the first half of the Scottish Premier League match while 22-year-old Thomson, who was making his debut following a €3m transfer from Hibernian FC, was withdrawn at the interval.
Injury problems
"Ugo and Kevin have both got hamstring injuries," said manager Walter Smith. "We don’t think they are too bad but at this stage it's most likely they will miss the European game." The pair join an already-lengthy injury list at Rangers, who are already without Dado Pršo, Steven Smith, Thomas Buffel and Andy Webster for the first leg of the tie in Israel.
