Blackburn hold on to Henchoz

Former Swiss international defender Stéphane Henchoz has signed a new one-year contract at Blackburn Rovers FC, committing to the club until 2008.

Former Swiss international central defender Stéphane Henchoz has signed a new one-year contract at Blackburn Rovers FC, committing to the English club until 2008.

One-year deal
The 32-year-old, who returned to Ewood Park for a second spell in the summer after his contract at Wigan Athletic FC expired, has agreed to spend another season with Mark Hughes's side. Henchoz has been added to Blackburn's squad list for the UEFA Cup Round of 32 where they face Bayer 04 Leverkusen, playing the away leg of the tie next Wednesday.
