European adventure
Andrade joins Rogério Gonçalves's side on a free transfer after shining at CR Vasco da Gama. The 25-year-old had attracted interest from a number of European clubs after his Vasco contract expired but the defensive midfielder chose Braga. Andrade was schooled at Santos FC and also played for Mirassol FC before joining Vasco last year from second division side Santa Cruz FC.
Parma test
Braga had already added another South American, the Peruvian international defender Alberto Rodríguez, to their squad as they prepare for the second half of the season and a UEFA Cup Round of 32 meeting with Parma FC in February.
