United stay
The 34-year-old joined Osasuna before the 2005/06 season, having returned to Spain from Manchester United FC via a loan spell at Real Racing Club Santander. Ricardo began his career with Club Atlético de Madrid before spending four seasons at Real Valladolid. It was his form there that earned him two caps for Spain and the high-profile switch to United, although he would make just one league appearance for the English team.
Fine
Osasuna are competing in UEFA Cup Group D and are next in action on 29 November at home against Odense BK, having taken only one point from two fixtures so far. On the domestic scene, the Pamplona outfit have been fined €3,000 by the Spanish Football Federation for crowd disturbances during Sunday's 4-1 home defeat by Real Madrid CF. The result left Osasuna 17th in the 20-team Primera División.
