Morfeo confined to Parma sidelines

Domenico Morfeo is set to miss the remainder of Parma FC's UEFA Cup group-stage campaign after he suffered a right thigh injury in Sunday's defeat at AS Livorno Calcio.

Crucial period
The attacking midfielder picked up the injury during the 3-0 loss and has been ruled out for Parma's remaining Group D fixtures against SC Heerenveen, RC Lens and CA Osasuna. Parma were 2-1 winners in their only previous game to date against Odense BK, a match Morfeo sat out. The 30-year-old has made ten Serie A appearances this season, scoring once.
