Parma FC have signed extended deals with Jorge Bolano, Andrea Pisanu and Daniele Paponi and named Enrico Bondi as their new president.
Colombian talent
The UEFA Cup contenders have added a year to the contract of Colombian midfielder Bolano who is now committed to the club until 2008. The 29-year-old joined Parma in 1999 and returned to the Tardini stadium in 2003 after loan spells at UC Sampdoria and US Lecce.
Young prospects
Pisanu, 24, and Paponi, 18, have both signed contracts until 2011. Midfielder Pisanu played 17 games and scored eight times in the last two Serie A campaigns while striker Paponi appeared three times in Serie A this season and scored on his UEFA Cup debut against FC Rubin Kazan last month.
New president
Bondi replaces Guido Angiolini, who resigned from his post as Parma president. Bondi had selected Angiolini as president in 2004 when he was the extraordinary commissioner chosen to help the club when they went into administration after their owners, Parmalat, had gone bankrupt. Parma play Odense BK in their opening UEFA Cup group stage game next Thursday.
