Nancy hit by Brison blow

Left-sided midfielder Jonathan Brison will miss AS Nancy-Lorraine's UEFA Cup first round second leg against FC Schalke 04 with a calf injury.

'A lot of pain'
The 24-year-old, one of coach Pablo Correa's most important players, sustained the injury during a Ligue 1 game against Stade Rennais FC ten days ago and has not recovered in time to take part in Thursday's match, as Nancy look to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit. "There is no muscular damage but the player is still in a lot of pain," said club physio Arnaud Grosjean.
