Lens capture Biševac

RC Lens have announced they have signed Serbia sweeper Milan Biševac from FK Crvena Zvezda although it is not quite certain when he will join the French club.

'Family problems'
The 22-year-old has agreed the move but the French club are not yet certain about the length of his contract. "Because of serious family problems, Milan Biševac has not decided whether to join us in September - and sign a four-year contract - or sign a four-and-a-half year contract in January," said Lens chief executive Francis Collado. Biševac was one of the stars of the Serbia and Montenegro side that reached this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship semi-finals, losing to the Ukraine. "He can play as a centre-back or defensive midfielder," said Lens coach Francis Gillot, whose team take on Cyprus's Ethnikos Achnas FC in the UEFA Cup first round.
