Celta cement Larena contract

Jorge Larena will join RC Celta de Vigo on a two-year contract after the Spanish UEFA Cup contenders reached an agreement with Club Atlético de Madrid.

Galician move
The 24-year-old midfielder spent last term on loan at the Balaídos stadium after being told he was not part of Carlos Bianchi's plans when the Argentinian took over at Atlético last summer. Larena's deal has the option of a further two seasons with the Galician club. After coming through the ranks at UD Las Palmas, Larena played for three years in the Canary Islands side's first team before moving to Atlético in 2002.
