Tomašić on hold for Udinese tie

PFC Levski Sofia defender Igor Tomašić faces a late fitness test for his side's decisive UEFA Cup last-16 meeting with Udinese Calcio in Bulgaria.

Ankle injury
Tomašić sustained an ankle injury during the 4-0 league win against PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv 1936 eleven days ago and missed the first leg against Udinese in Italy, which ended in a 0-0 draw. "We will wait till the last possible moment for Tomašić," said Levski coach Stanimir Stoilov.

Third prong
The coach is yet to reveal who will provide the third prong of his attacking line alongside Hristo Yovov and Cédric Bardon. Emil Angelov and Valeri Domovchiyski have both impressed of late, and will be battling for a place. However, Stoilov is eager to temper expectations. "We will do everything to stop the boys getting overexcited," he said. "The most important thing is to keep our composure."

Players rested
Meanwhile, Udinese coach Loris Dominissini has left several key players in Italy ahead of Sunday's big Serie A match against AC Milan. Cesare Natali, Felipe, Vincent Candela, Sulley Ali Muntari, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Antonio Di Natale are all training at home as Udinese look to avoid relegation.

'We will win'
Dominissini is expected to start with Fausto Rossini and Paulo Barreto in attack, while finding room for Colombian defender Cristian Zapata Valencia. "I am sure we will win in Sofia because I think we are better than Levski," the 19-year-old Zapata said. "This time, they will need to attack and we will have space to counterattack."
