Determined Levski leave it late

PFC Levski Sofia 1-0 FC Dinamo Bucuresti A last-minute goal from Emil Angelov saw Levski open their Group F campaign with a win.

A last-minute goal from PFC Levski Sofia substitute Emil Angelov ensured the Bulgarian side opened their UEFA Cup Group F campaign with a victory against FC Dinamo Bucuresti.

Late drama
Dinamo looked to have done enough to earn themselves a valuable away draw despite having Alexandru Baltoi sent off, but Angelov made sure his team took all three points when he conjured an added-time winner.

Missed chances
Levski dominated the possession in the first half but failed to make their advantage tell. Igor Tomašić sent a 20-metre effort wide of the target, while Dimitar Telkiyski's shot from Lucio Wagner's corner was blocked by defender Cristian Pulhac.

Gayev save
Richard Eromoigbe also had a shot from distance on the Dinamo goal, but his effort lacked the necessary accuracy. Telkiyski came close to breaking the deadlock once more with a speculative 20-metre blast, only to see his effort parried by an inspired Vladimir Gayev.

Second half
Levski started the second half in the same vein as the first when a Milan Koprivarov shot was cleared by Pulhac. The home side continued their assault on the visitors' goal with Eromoigbe's 30-metre effort going narrowly wide.

Baltoi blow
Valeri Domovchiyski also had an effort for the hosts which went wide as Levski continued to increase the pressure. Ioan Andone's side's task was made even more difficult when Baltoi was dismissed just after the hour mark for his second bookable offence, following a foul on Elin Topuzakov.

Substitutes combine
Dinamo, though, rallied and had chances through Adrian Cristea and Ianis Zicu. But with the Romanian side looking like they had hung on for a deserved draw, Angelov struck with a right-footed effort from 20 metres from a pass by fellow substitute Hristo Yovov to give Levski the spoils and hand Dinamo their first defeat of the group phase.
