The 24-year-old ended the 2-1 loss at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard with severe swelling and bruising to his eye, and was still feeling the pain last night when Monaco decided to send the defender for treatment. Evra will be out for around a fortnight, although he will not miss any UEFA Cup fixtures as Monaco sit out Matchday 2 following their opening 1-0 defeat at Viking FK.
