One-year deal
The Bundesliga club moved quickly after losing Swiss international Marco Streller to a knee injury that will sideline him for two months. They have taken the Serbo-Montenegrin international on a 12-month deal with the option of a permanent move at the season's end.
Bremen debut
"We are very happy with the deal, especially given the fact the transfer window will close on 31 August," said Stuttgart sporting manager Herbert Briem. "Danijel Ljuboja is definitely a player that can help us. He is not just a proven goalscorer, he can also play the decisive pass."
Trapattoni boost
The 26-year-old forward added: "I had calls from five clubs but Stuttgart are my choice. Coach Giovanni Trapattoni wants me and that's a real boost for me. I want to have a good season before the [FIFA] World Cup and I think Germany is the best league for that."
