Two titles
The 21-year-old Adebayor, a Togolese international, joined Monaco from FC Metz in June 2003 and has gone on to score 17 goals in 67 Ligue 1 games. He had been linked with a move to England, in particular to newly promoted West Ham United FC, but was keen to remain with Didier Deschamps's side.
Extra season
With Adebayor committing himself to the club for an extra season, until June 2009, the Monaco coach was prepared to sell Senegalese international Camara to Riviera neighbours Nice. No fee has been released for the 22-year-old.
