AZ Alkmaar have completed the signing of Demi de Zeeuw from Dutch second division side Go Ahead Eagles for an undisclosed fee.
Impressive performance
The 22-year-old right-sided midfielder, who can also be deployed as a centre-back, has signed a four-year contract with Louis van Gaal's UEFA Cup contenders after impressing in a pre-season friendly against Alkmaar.
'Fantastic' move
"AZ are a beautiful club who had a fantastic last season," said De Zeeuw, who scored seven goals in 65 league appearances over four seasons with the Eagles. "They have a very good team and a top coach. This is where I want to be. It is, in one word, fantastic."
