Instant success
The 31-year-old scored 15 goals in 29 league games as he proved an instant hit in his first season at the Alsace club – the best return of any French striker in Ligue 1. He had previously spent three and a half seasons with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.
Second to sign
Pagis becomes the second Strasbourg player to commit to the team after defender Jean Christophe Devaux signed a deal until June 2007. The 1979 French champions and current League Cup holders will enter the UEFA Cup in the first round in September.
