Stuttgart lose Lahm's services

Comeback delayed
Having suffered a stress fracture to his right foot in training last month, the 21-year-old left-back was initially expected to miss the first leg in Parma on 16 February as a worst-case scenario. However, Lahm's doctors have decided to delay the removal of his plaster cast and he will now sit out the return eight days later as well.

'Safety first'
The defender had originally hoped to have the cast removed this week in order to return to training, but was advised against it. "We decided to put safety first," explained Lahm, who has spent the entire Bundesliga winter break on the treatment table.
