Article summary
Olympiacos CFP must manage without Georgios Georgiadis after he was ruled out for the season with a knee injury.
Article body
Right knee
The 32-year-old Greek international midfielder will undergo surgery on his right knee tomorrow and faces a four-month recovery period. Georgiadis has appeared in eleven league matches this season, scoring three goals, and his absence is another setback for Olympiacos coach Dusan Bajevic who recently lost left-back Stylianos Venetidis until the summer.
Suspended defenders
Three days ahead of their opening UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie at home to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, Bajevic must also find a way to compensate for the absence of suspended defenders Gabriel Schürrer and Georgios Anatolakis.
