Inclement conditions
CSKA asked to have the first leg moved to the home of Russian first division side, FC Kuban Krasnodar, because the weather in Moscow in February is too cold to guarantee a decent playing surface.
Migrating south
UEFA agreed to the change after consultations with officials from the Portuguese club. Benfica will now travel to Krasnodar, in the south of Russia, not far from the Black Sea coast, for the first leg, before staging the return at their Estádio da Luz on 24 February.
