Mathieu Chalmé has signed a new contract with LOSC Lille Métropole keeping him at the club until 2008.
Agreement reached
"LOSC Lille Métropole and Mathieu Chalmé have reached an agreement on a three-year contract extension," the club announced. The 24-year-old midfield player's contract was to end next June.
Landmark achieved
Chalmé signed for Lille in 2002 and last week made his 50th appearance in the fixture against RC Strasbourg. This season his side lie second in Ligue 1 and won the UEFA Intertoto Cup, starting a run that has taken them into the last 32 of the UEFA Cup.
