Ajax deal for De Ridder

The 20-year-old worked his way up to the first-team selection from Ajax's youth department, making his full debut in an away game against Roda JC on 21 January 2004, and scoring his first goal against Willem II on 16 May.

Extended deal
De Ridder had originally been contracted until 2005, but has now committed to the Amsterdam club until June 2007. "It feels good that Ajax has faith in me," he said. "I will do my absolute best to contribute to the battle for the championship, Dutch Cup and UEFA Cup."
