Cool, 32, who joined Auxerre 12 years ago and was a member of their French double-winning team in 1995/96, has been an ever-present since taking over the No1 spot from Lionel Charbonnier in 1998.
French Cup winner
In total, he has made over 300 appearances for the side including French Cup victories in 1994 and 2003. Cool also made several important saves on Wednesday when Auxerre won 2-0 at Rangers FC at Ibrox to clinch their place in the last 32 of the UEFA Cup.
