Ilan lands at Sochaux

French League Cup holders FC Sochaux-Montbéliard have signed Brazilian international Ilan from Club Atlético Paranaense.

Three-year contract
The 23-year-old striker has signed a three-year contract at the UEFA Cup contenders, who have seen Pierre-Alain Frau depart for Olympique Lyonnais. Ilan, who was part of the Brazil squad in last summer's FIFA Confederations Cup in France, joins defender Lionel Potillon and midfield player Romain Pitau in signing for Sochaux.

First-round tie
His new side's UEFA Cup campaign begins at the first round stage on 16 and 30 September. Their Ligue 1 season began on Saturday with a 1-0 victory against AC Ajaccio.
