First Serie A job
The 50-year-old former Lazio captain has signed a one-year contract and replaces Roberto Mancini, who left to join FC Internazionale earlier this summer. It will be Caso's first coaching job in Serie A, after spells in Serie B with Foggia Calcio and AC Chievo Verona.
Youth work
As a coach, Caso has worked mostly with youth teams. He led the Lazio Primavera side between 1992 and 1997 (winning the youth title in 1995 with players like Alessandro Nesta and Marco Di Vaio) and again last season.
