Long-term target
Stefanidis, 23, has agreed a three-year contract with the Copenhagen club, who finished second in the Superliga last season. "We have been interested in Stefanidis for a while, so I am happy that we have managed to secure another quality addition to our squad," said Brøndby sporting director Per Bjerregaard.
Scandinavian giants
"I am delighted that Brøndby and Djurgården have reached agreement over my transfer," added Stefanidis, a former Swedish Under-21 international. "Brøndby are among the best clubs in Scandinavia, and I am looking forward to developing my game further in co-operation with coaches Michael Laudrup and John Jensen."
Swedish talent
The newcomer will be the fourth Swedish player at the club, joining internationals Andreas Jakobsson and Mattias Jonson, and U21 starlet Johan Elmander, who arrived earlier this summer. Brøndby will enter the UEFA Cup in the second qualifying round.
