KSK Beveren have signed goalkeeper Mark Volders from KFC Lommelse SK.
Second choice
The 27-year-old has signed a one-year contract with last season’s losing Belgian Cup finalists and he is expected to be understudy to Ivorian goalkeeper Barry 'Copa' Boubacar. Volders had been with Lommel for three seasons, and was a regular during the past two campaigns.
Transfers stalled
Meanwhile, the UEFA Cup contenders' hopes of signing Icelandic defender Olafur-Ingi Skulason from Arsenal FC appear to have receded along with plans to also take his team-mate Quincy Owusu-Abeyie. Both players are keen to remain in England although talks are ongoing.
