"We have our playmaker," Servette president Marc Roger said, confirming Ziani's arrival. For Ziani, who won the French title with RC Lens in 1998 and Nantes in 2001, the move to Servette heralds a second spell abroad after a mixed experience at RC Deportivo La Coruña in 1998/99.
Follows Moldovan's path
The 32-year-old is the second player this summer to leave Nantes for the Geneva-based club, who will play in the UEFA Cup next season, following the path of Romanian striker Viorel Moldovan.
