The Fir Park club reluctantly consented to the transfer of the 21-year-old, with Motherwell chairman Bill Dickie confirming: "We have accepted an offer."
Likely debut
Pearson had been linked with a move to the English Premiership but will now join up with his boyhood heroes. He has sorted out personal terms and will undergo a medical before making his expected debut in Celtic's Scottish Cup tie against Ross County FC on Saturday.
