Central defender Patrick Paauwe has signed a three-year contract extension with Feyenoord which should keep him in Rotterdam until 2007.
New captain
The 27-year-old, who became captain at Feyenoord after the departure of Paul Bosvelt for Manchester City FC this summer, has been at Feyenoord since 1998 and was in the team which won the UEFA Cup in 2002.
Happy in Rotterdam
"I have always liked it here, and still do," said Paauwe, who has been capped five times by the Dutch national side. "And now that we have a complete new team, it all feels very fresh again." Paauwe started his career at PSV Eindhoven in 1993 and had spells with De Graafschap and SC Fortuna Sittard before moving to De Kuip.
