Season in the sun
Pacheco was unveiled at Mallorca's Son Moix stadium on Friday evening after the 45-year-old former Portuguese international had put the finishing touches to a 12-month contract.
Title success
Pacheco parted company with Boavista in June after five seasons. In 2001, he led the Porto club to their first Portuguese title, while last season his team reached the UEFA Cup semi-finals before losing to Celtic FC.
Well travelled
Pacheco, who played for FC Porto, previously coached FC Paços de Ferreira, Vitória Guimarães, Rio Ave FC and U. Lamas. His predecessor Manzano stood down in June and was presented as Atlético's new coach earlier this week.
