KÍ Klaksvík 2-2 Újpesti TE
Faroe Islands side KÍ Klaksvík were held to a 2-2 draw by Hungary's Újpesti TE in their UEFA Cup qualifying round first-leg tie at the Toftír stadium.
Juhár opener
Újpest made the early running and were rewarded for their endevours when Tamás Juhár's strike gave them the initiative after 14th minutes. The visitors were well in control of proceedings but failed to maintain their lead until the break, when Allan Mørkøre leveled the scores on the stroke of half-time.
Complexion changed
Klaksvík began the second half as they had finished the first and edged ahead through Mørkøre's second goal of the night, eight minutes after the interval. Then, with time running out for Újpest, Balász Farkas struck to change the complexion of the tie.
Inspired substitution
Farkas, an inspired half-time substitution by Újpest coach Laszlö Molnar, equalized in the 68th minute to put the visitors in the driving seat, and the Hungarian side will certainly fancy their chances ahead of the return leg in two weeks' time.
