Final teams ready for action

The 2001/02 UEFA Cup reaches its conclusion tonight in Rotterdam where Feyenoord take on BV Borussia Dortmund, kicking off at 20.45CET.

After 287 matches involving 146 teams the 2001/02 UEFA Cup is down to one game and two clubs – Feyenoord and BV Borussia Dortmund in the final at the Feijenoord stadium, Rotterdam. If the fixture comes even close to the excitement of last year's 5-4 thriller between Liverpool FC and Deportivo Alavés, it is sure to be a memorable occasion and uefa.com is there to bring you live text and audio commentary.

Home final
Feyenoord, the first team to play a one-off UEFA Cup final on their home ground, are expected to select Christian Gyan in defence in the absence of the suspended Brett Emerton. Strikers Pierre van Hooijdonk and Jon Dahl Tomasson will hope sign off their prolific partnership with a fine performance, the Danish international playing his last game for Feyenoord prior to leaving for Milan AC.

Kohler farewell
Meanwhile, the newly crowned German 1. Bundesliga champions, Dortmund, are close to full strength, missing only suspended defender Christoph Metzfelder and injured striker Heiko Herrlich. The match will be the last in the long career of Dortmund's Jürgen Kohler, who is taking up a coaching role with the German Under-21 side.

Minute's silence
The match will be preceded by a minute’s silence for the assassinated Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn.
