A minute's silence will be held before tonight's UEFA Cup final in Rotterdam, in the wake of the assassination of Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn.

Fortuyn was shot dead on Monday outside broadcasting studios in the Dutch city of Hilversum.
Match going ahead
Following discussions with the Rotterdam city authorities, UEFA announced on Tuesday that the match between Feyenoord and BV Borussia Dortmund would go ahead as scheduled.
Sign of respect
Those present at tonight's match will observe a minute’s silence as a sign of respect in recognition of what UEFA described on Tuesday as "the shock and horror felt by the people of Rotterdam and the Netherlands" at the shooting.
