'A Christmas present'
Frederiksen was delighted by the prospect of joining the Eredivisie club. "What a Christmas present," he said. "I played two practice games for [RSC] Anderlecht last week and I obviously must have impressed Feyenoord's representatives in the stands."
European ambitions
The 19-year-old rejected the chance to join many of his former Lyngby teammates at Farum BK in the hope of a move to a bigger European club. "I always had other ideas in my head, but I never dreamt it would end with Feyenoord," he added.
Spell with Excelsior
Frederiksen will move to Holland after Christmas but will not be immediately joining Feyenoord. He have a spell first with their satellite club, SC Excelsior.
