Wales can put a major crimp in Switzerland's chances of qualifying for UEFA EURO 2012 as they seek a second successive home victory in Group G.
• Switzerland thrashed Wales 4-1 in their first Group G meeting on 12 October 2010. Marco Streller's 21st-minute strike sent the hosts in at the break in front after Gareth Bale's equaliser had cancelled out an early opener from Valentin Stocker. Gökhan Inler's 82nd-minute spot kick and a late second from Stocker wrapped up the victory.
• Wales's record in six games against Switzerland is W1 D0 L5 (W1 D0 L1 at home).
• The teams came together in UEFA EURO 2000 qualifying. Stéphane Chapuisat struck both goals as Switzerland won 2-0 in Zurich, before an effort either side of half-time from Alexandre Rey and Patrick Bühlmann helped them triumph 2-0 in Wrexham on 9 October 1999.
• Wales's lone win against Switzerland was a 3-2 friendly success in Wrexham on 15 May 1951.
